Tools for Business within Blogger
Blogger has a lot of plugins that are available to help businesses within their blogs.
Business within Softball
This blog could be used effectively to review softball products, like bats, gloves, balls, batting gloves. This would allow for consumers to have some more product information and have another opinion on specific products they are interested in buying. Within the blog you could allow for other users to comment and talk about their experiences with products or request reviews for products that they are interested in. Using a blog makes things a little more personal for a review compared to having a salesperson give you all the details about a product. A consumer may trust an experienced player or representative for the company with the review that isn't making a commission off of the sale like a salesperson. Plus you could add pictures or videos of the products in acutal use for the consumers to see.

Winner Winner Dinger Dinner
This post I am going to talk about homeruns and your team homerun hitters. I play ASA sancationed softball mostly so homeruns are limited anywhere from two to four a game typically. Depending on the team you have it is a huge game of strategdy when to use them.
My team is a very young and powerful team. We have a lot of baseball guys who can drive the ball a long ways and controlling them isn't always easy. Using homeruns is most effective with bases loaded or at minimum two runners on the bases. As a manager, I try to constantly remind the guys to only use them when it's worth it. Hitting a "solo" homerun, meaning when there is no one on base, just doesn't benefit the team enough unless it is a game winner.
The best way I have found to get guys to stop hitting solos is during batting practice have them practice hitting in specific spots. Instead of standing up there trying to hit bombs, tell them where to hit. For example push a ball opposite field, pull a ball down the line, hit a single in a gap, etc. This gets them thinking about using the entire field during a game. It also gives players confidence to hit where ever on the field.
If anyone else has found anyways to help young hitters control their power, please feel free to comment!

SPONSOR US!
Very few people will ever be get paid to play slowpitch softball, however the ability to play for free is the next best thing. It is extremely difficult to find sponsorships for teams, however when you do, treat your sponsors right. Slowpitch softball was nicknamed "Bar League" for a reason. Bars used to be the only business's that would sponsor teams. Sponsorships are hard to find because typically other than a tax write off there is little to no benefit for it for companies.
Here are some tips to give back to sponsors:
1. Reviews - for local business's online reviews and ratings can play a huge effect in business. Offer companies online reviews in return for their money. Especially restaurants, doctors office's, or other local service companies.
2. Volunteer Work - Another way to give back is offer the team's time for a day of service to help the company. Maybe something like mowing the lawns, odd jobs around the business, or cleaning their building.
3. Coupons/Beer Bust - Come up with an idea to bring customers into the company. Sell coupons that give a discount at the business. This brings in customers for the business so they make money on top of their donation.

5 Things To Do To Improve Your Game In The Off-Season
Here are 5 simple things you can do during the off-season to improve your game on the field!
1. Workout - This may seem obvious but working out is the best way to strengthen your game during the off-season. Increased overall strength will benefit hitting power, speed, agility and prevention of injuries.
2. Watch Softball - There are hundreds of professional games online that are available to watch. Learn softball situations and keep it fresh in your head. This will help you recongize plays and make better decisions in game play.
3. Swing - Try to find hitting cages, an empty pull barn or even your garage and just swing the bat. Keep your swing comfortable and consistent so come season your swing is ready to go. If space is allowed hit live balls, if not hitting of a tee or even taking dry swings will be benefitial.
4. Throw - Throw whenever possible. Whether it is with a buddy on your team or a tennis ball onto the wall out back. Keeping the motion of throwing will help your arm get stronger and prevent injury when season begins.
5. Talk Softball - Talking softball with teammates, friends and whoever else will listen will keep it exciting and help boost overall enjoyment for the game. Softball is supposed to be fun and playing softball with your best buds can't be beat!
