Very few people will ever be get paid to play slowpitch softball, however the ability to play for free is the next best thing. It is extremely difficult to find sponsorships for teams, however when you do, treat your sponsors right. Slowpitch softball was nicknamed "Bar League" for a reason. Bars used to be the only business's that would sponsor teams. Sponsorships are hard to find because typically other than a tax write off there is little to no benefit for it for companies.
Here are some tips to give back to sponsors:
1. Reviews - for local business's online reviews and ratings can play a huge effect in business. Offer companies online reviews in return for their money. Especially restaurants, doctors office's, or other local service companies.
2. Volunteer Work - Another way to give back is offer the team's time for a day of service to help the company. Maybe something like mowing the lawns, odd jobs around the business, or cleaning their building.
3. Coupons/Beer Bust - Come up with an idea to bring customers into the company. Sell coupons that give a discount at the business. This brings in customers for the business so they make money on top of their donation.
